Trondheimsfjord – a school with Christian values
A foundation can be described as something we stand on, or walk on, something we can rely on.
Christian values are important to us at Trondheimsfjord, and are the foundation on which we stand.
For us, that means:
NEW OPPORTUNITIES: It matters how we want to meet each other at school; with generosity and new chances.
YOU ARE WELCOME: Just as everyone was welcome to Jesus, everyone is welcome to us. Regardless of who you are or where you come from, and whether you have a Christian faith or not. You are met with respect.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE CHRISTIAN: There are also many students with us who do not come from a Christian background or with a Christian faith, so we believe that you will feel at home with us anyway!
WE LISTEN AND TELLING: You meet Christian employees who can share with you what it means to them to be a Christian, what they think "believing" is, and who will listen to you.
CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY: You will meet other Christian students with whom you can find fellowship, in cross gatherings, Bible groups, conversation groups and singing evenings. We also collaborate with Norkirken in Trondheim, and occasionally those who want to can join in church services for young people on Saturday evenings there.
A OWN QUIET ROOM: In the attic room of one of the dormitories there is a private quiet room. It is used for gatherings, conversation, silence and prayer for those who wish it.
WE STAND IN A CONTEXT: We are one of 33 Christian folk high schools in Norway, and about half of those who attend folk high schools attend a Christian folk high school. We are a separate foundation, but are owned by Normisjon, region Trøndelag. Normisjon's core values are "loved and sent."
