Rooms and facilities
Trondheimsfjord has boarding space for about 130 students. We have good classrooms with equipment that is also available to students in the evenings. In addition, the school is located in beautiful surroundings only 20 minutes away from Trondheim!

Boarding school
You choose your room type after you have accepted your place here at Trondheimsfjord.
Trondheimsfjord Folk High School has 3 different room types:
Double room without bathroom
Single room without bathroom
Double room with bathroom
Double room without bathroom
Double rooms without bathroom (dormitory A and B) are our most affordable accommodation option, and the one most people choose. The rooms contain 2 beds, 2 closets, 2 work stations with shelves, 2 chairs, a sink with mirror cabinet, and magnetic boards for hanging pictures and posters. In addition, each room has a storage room in the basement for storing ski equipment, suitcases, sleeping bags, etc. Double rooms without bathroom are located in the dormitory with separate showers and toilets on each corridor.

Single room without bathroom
Single rooms without bathroom (dormitory A and B, limited number, those with special needs are prioritized) are for those who want a little extra privacy. The rooms consist of 1 bed, 1 closet, 1 work area with shelf, 1 chair, a sink with mirror cabinet, and a magnetic board for hanging pictures and posters.
In addition, each room has a storage room in the basement for storing ski equipment, suitcases, sleeping bags, etc. Single rooms without a bathroom are located in dormitories with separate showers and toilets on each corridor.
Double room with bathroom
Double room with bathroom (dormitory C, limited number, first come, first served basis) is located in a separate dormitory. The room is large and consists of a sleeping/living room, a small hallway and a tiled bathroom.
The room is equipped with 2 beds, 2 bedside tables, 4 closets, 2 large work areas, 2 chests of drawers, 2 chairs, as well as magnetic boards for hanging pictures and posters. The bathroom has a sink, shower, closet and toilet. In addition, each room has a large storage room in the basement for storing ski equipment, suitcases, sleeping bags, etc.
The rooms have water-based underfloor heating.
Common living room
In each corridor of the dormitories there is a common living room. These contain a sofa, kitchen cabinets, refrigerator, freezer, stove, hob, dishwasher, kettle and TV with Chromecast.
Fitness facilities
We are a sporty school and naturally have our own fitness center. At Trondheimsfjord Fitness Center you can fit in no matter your shape. The center consists of a machine room, free weights room, aerobics room and spinning room. The fitness center is open to students all day!
Rental
Trondheimsfjord Folkehøgskole is located in Skaun municipality in Sør-Trøndelag, just 25 minutes outside Trondheim. The location is perfect, close to the sea, forest and the city of Trondheim.
Company / events
Trondheimsfjord Folkehøgskole has a large kitchen, meeting rooms, banquet rooms, conference facilities and rooms for accommodation. In the summer we rent out the school for various events, e.g. confirmations, weddings, family reunions, conferences etc. Our chefs provide the party food and serve it in bright and pleasant premises.
The sliding door between the dining room and the fireplace room can be opened so that 230 people can be served in the same room.
There is wireless internet in all rooms.
Among the activity options are: Fitness center with weight room, spinning room and dance room, sand volleyball court, air hockey, table tennis, billiards, skate ramp, board games, sauna, PS3 and Wii, bouldering wall, etc.
Accommodation
In our newest boarding house we have 15 large double rooms with bathrooms divided into 3 sections. The rooms have plenty of space for extra mattresses on the floor.
In the other dormitories, we have a total of 50 double rooms and 6 single rooms without bathrooms. These are distributed over 8 corridors with newly renovated showers and toilets in each department.
In all boarding houses, each department has a living room with a sofa, TV and kitchenette.
All rooms have wireless internet.
