At Security – Police & Guards you will have a year filled with excitement, challenges and valuable experience! We give you a solid introduction to the security profession, whether you are considering a career in the police, as a guard or in other emergency services professions.

Practical guard training
The mandatory practice in connection with national basic training for security guards will take place in close collaboration with PCM.
In addition, students receive extended practice at small and large events, usually in collaboration with the security companies PCM and Zone Security. In recent years, students have participated in the Nobel Peace Concert, DDE and Beist, Adele, Deep Purple, Volbeat, Justin Bieber and the Europa League at Lerkendal, among others.

Exercises
We conduct various exercises throughout the year to become more confident in different situations within communication, orientation, searches, security, fire protection and first aid. PLIVO exercises (ongoing life-threatening violence) and dog markers are carried out in collaboration with the police.
Excursions
Varies from year to year. Previously we have been to the city center police station in Trondheim, the Police College (PHS), the Prison School (KRUS), Telenor Arena, Trondheim Prison, the Customs Service, Trøndelag Fire and Rescue Service and Trøndelag 110 central.

This tour includes meetings with American police, visits to a prison and fire station, and visits to tourist attractions such as Universal Studios and Kennedy Space Center.If you prefer, you can travel to La Santa in Lanzarote or to Singapore. You can also choose to stay at the school if you want a more affordable school year.
The whole school is going on a study trip to Greece at the beginning of May!
Tours in Norway: We have previously conducted tours in both Trondheim and Oslo within the police, prison, fire, customs, ambulance and concert arenas.
We can provide security at large or small concerts and other events.
Criminal record: The school does not require that you have a clean criminal record, but if you are going to go to Security you should have this in order, as we cooperate with security companies throughout the year and will be visiting prisons, among other places.
Hi! My name is Torgrim 👋
I have been a teacher here at Trondheimsfjord since we started the Security course in 2005.
Since then, we have trained over 700 security guards here at the school!
Before that, I worked as a carpenter, but the security industry has always been a big part of my professional life.
I like to work practically and give you realistic challenges that prepare you for what awaits you in the profession. With me, you learn from real experiences, practice in real situations and develop skills that you can take with you on your journey – whether you want to become a security guard, police officer or something else in the security field.
